The Nylatron GS sheet is a type of nylon 66 (PA66) engineering plastic sheet that has been added with molybdenum disulfide (MoS₂). It is mainly characterized by self-lubrication, high wear resistance and high load-bearing capacity, and is commonly used as a substitute for metal parts.
1. Excellent self-lubrication: The friction coefficient is much lower than that of ordinary nylon, enabling use in dry friction environments and reducing the frequency of oiling and maintenance.
2. Wear-resistant and resistant to creep: It is unlikely to deform under long-term stress and is suitable for continuous high-load operation scenarios.
3. Significantly lightweight: Its density is only 1/6 to 1/8 of that of metal. Replacing metal parts can reduce equipment load and improve efficiency.
4. Resistant to impact and stable in size: The addition of molybdenum disulfide enhances rigidity, and the size changes are small under temperature variations. It is also less prone to cracking during processing.
